Our Process

1

Engagement & Discovery

At the outset of each project, we listen to you carefully, work with you to set clear objectives, and explore ways to make your project special.

Having a deep understanding of your vision and site right from the beginning will allow us to tailor our process to meetyour needs.

We can also provide early-stage advice about what to expect in terms of permits, consultants, as well as potential risks or opportunities.
2

Concept Design

Once we have gained a clear understanding of your project, we begin to conceptualize a unique design solution.

Good design often takes on an iterative process where ideas are repeatedly tested, refined and adjusted. During this process, you will see your concept materialize from diagrams and sketches to clear plans and immersive 3D models and renders.

Advanced software provides real-time feedback on the thermal performance and energy of your concept.
3

Design Development

Following your approval of the concept, we will further develop it by working with a variety of specialist consultants according to the needs of your project.

These may include structural, mechanical, civil, acoustic,  geotechnical or energy engineers, quantity surveyors or planners.

If needed, any planning approvals such as a Resource Consent application are applied for.

At the end of this phase we aim to have a fully developed design, ready to be documented.
4

Documentation

Technical documents are then prepared, to enable the construction of your project.

Typically, these include plans, elevations, sections and details for Building Consent, Tender or preparing 'Shop' drawings for elements that are manufactured off site.

These documents clearly demonstrate that your proposed project complies with relevant building regulations and will provide contractors with clear instructions for estimating and building your project.
5

Administration & Support

Throughout the process, we support our clients by administering the design and documentation process.

This may include things such as engaging consultants, submitting applications on your behalf, or following up with Councils, contractors or other parties to ensure that your project is completed in a timely manner.

Thorough the life cycle of your project we work hard to keep you informed and in control and are always available for advice and support.
